SMS Printer

This printer has been developed to print SMS (text) and GPRS (data) messages received via an internal SIM card. Using this system, fast food take-away restaurants can receive orders directly from the customer or from a website dispatching program. In business, companies can receive orders directly or send instructions to remote warehouses. In logistics, drivers can receive instructions for new pick up or delivery jobs directly to the truck or van.
There are two firmware versions available. The Generic version directly prints SMS messages exactly as they are received but with the addition of a time and date stamp. The other type prints a customised form. The formatted order can comprise of several individual SMS messages received in any order or via authenticated GPRS data transfer. The printer can send back a confirmation message to accept or reject the order and give a delivery or collection time. NiMH cells can be fitted for battery powered operation.
